hair bows

so yesterday at naptime i grabbed my caffeine-free coke, my ipod with coldplay on que and went in the office to make bows.
so this is what i have to show for it. i really like grosgrain ribbon and that is what i worked with. i was trying to make something that big girl could use for school pictures and for both of the girls to use at the wedding

this is a baby bow- thinking about using this on wild one at the wedding

this is the back of the baby one- it is an alligator clip- but lined with a velvet ribbon

matching white bows

so these are a matching pair of pink with white polka dots-

I used alligator clips and partially covered them- kept some metal so it can "grab" the hair

this is one i made before i just glued it back to the clip- have a better method now

large white bow- wouldn't it be cute on top of a ponytail?

this one is actually pretty big

just a simple one- i actually sewed this one together and it isn't attached to a clip- i just used bobby pins and slid it through the ribbon in the back- i made 2 of these

this one is a work in progress- i liked the ribbon but haven't finished

so this is where i got my instructions

here

this is an awesome site with FREE instructions!!!

i don't like hot glue- i think it is because i have a cheap one and cheap glue sticks- but everything i ever glue with it comes apart. so i found this fabric glue- i will find it and post it later- i don't feel like getting it...but it works pretty good - i am trying to playing with actually sewing them together- so we will play and see what actually stands up to kid use.

now i need to get some small alligator clips- i think i found some once on etsy but haven't bought any yet.
