Enrichment Crafts

Here are the crafts that we will be doing for our enrichment....
9 am classes
................................................................
A: Onesie (free- bring your own onesie/shirt)
Patterns of the tie will vary.
I am trying to work on a girly one- maybe something with gathered tulle and ribbon... I will let you know if this becomes an option.
Here is where I found the instructions and I stole her picture, so ours will be different prints...

B: M&M's ($.50 each)
just some red and green M&M's bagged in a little cellopane bag with a topper on it. There is a cute poem on the back about the meaning of Christmas.

found the idea on Stacy Julian's blog (you can find the poem there)

C: Proclamation on the Family frame ($5 for frame or free if bring your own...)
This is one of my favorites. So simple too. take 14 pictures (i did mine all in b&w) and cut them to fit mat and place a proclamation on family in the center...
Sizes of pictures you will need:
2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch (x4)
3 1/4 x 2 1/4 (x4) horizontal
1 3/4 x 3 1/8 (x6) vertical
You can take regular 4 x 6 and cut them to size on that day, or see Laura Denning to help fix your pictures digitally so you can print them in the correct sizes.
had also seen some ideas of Christ around it, or around "the Living christ"
or you could take an 8x 10 pic of your family (vertical) and print the Proclamation on vellum and put it on top.
D: Stocking board ($20)
I haven't finished my sample yet for this. But here is a pic of what it should look like!
I 24 x 8 in board will be painted white. After it is dry then this vinyl "the stockings were hung will be applied to it. Next add some drawer knobs to hang the stockings off off and waa laa!
found the idea here and can buy the vinyl here

E: Baked Goods class (free)
this is a class that will teach how to make some yummy baked goodies for the holidays! mmmm. You will get copies of the recipes
F: Advent Calendar ($15)
Another one of my favorites. Metal favor tins will be decorated with the numbers 1-25. inside will be slips of paper that have a scripture for everyday. (This was from December 2008 friend)
Magnets will be glued to the back if wanted. They can be put on the fridge or even a cookie sheet. I plan on trying to make a magnet board- (I have some magnetic paint) to put them on. A friend had an idea of glueing them to a wreath. The ideas are endless. There is plenty of room to put a piece of candy(or 2) or some other small treasure

so I got the idea off of this...

G: Rice Bags ($2)
These will be pieces of fabric that are sewn up with rice in it. Then you can pop them in the microwave and heat them up to make a heating pad. Great for aches and pains or for keeping tootsies warm. You could always chill it and use it as a ice pack as well.
picture coming...
here is an example

I: Wise Men Tile ($11)
So simple, yet elegant. I piece of vinyl with the saying "Wise men still seek him" is applied to a 13 x 13 tile.

J: Christ sacrament book ($6)

3x4 pics of Christ will be laminated and put in a metal ring. great for small hands during sacrament

K: Temple sacrament book($7)
3x4 pics of Temples will be lamintated and punches and put through a metal ring.

L: Birthday card organizer ($3)
A binder will be created with a pocket folder for each month. Birthdays can be written down and cards kept inside. A great gift for grandparents.
