Finished (well, almost) Advent Calendar

so this is what I made for our advent calendar.
It is paper stockings filled with 2 slips of paper. The red one is the scripture that we will read that evening.( I printed this one up and cut out). The white one is a special activity for us to do that day. (I have yet to finish writing the activities.) I had the kids help me stamp the tops. For the stocking, I just took christmasy scrapbook paper and folded it in half and cut out 2 stockings. On the back i cut almost a v shape , cut in at a diagonal and then across and bag up at a diagonal, just so i could actually get in the pocket. then i glued edges together and glued on a piece for the top. I stamped the days on the top of the stocking too. I hung them on a wire ribbon on a garland using these cute small Christmas clothespins that I got at the dollar store a couple years ago. ( I usually swag the garland around my doorways and then clip Christmas cards that we get to them, but I wasn't in the mood this year)
So eventually, when I finally find new stockings for the family, they will go on this wall too.
I like this because of my unfinished-ness. It allows me to add what I think we will be able to do that day as the activity. so there are advantages to not finishing a project- you can tweek it as you go.
next up?
finish my Christmas cards-ahhh!
finish some gifts I have started....
hmmm, i wonder when i will have the time?
